Yes! We sold some stuff yesterday and this morning and that makes me happy.
At the moment I'm not sure how far I'll go with it this time around. It really depends on how much work I want to put into it because Ebay is work. You have to photograph the item(s) from multiple angles, write the listing, package for shipping and then get it to the postal service.
Speaking of the USPS, I'm lucky because I have an AWESOME carrier. That's a serious blessing for me because it means my lazy ass doesn't have to trek out to the post office every day. It makes my life a lot easier when it comes to selling on Ebay.
We'll have to wait and see how deep into the rabbit hole I go. Right now I'm sticking with the 50 free listings a month and those will all be used up today. If I want to list more things I will have to either look at reopening the store or paying the listing fee. UGH. Decisions, decisions. I'm on the fence here.
In the end, it's money in the bank and in all reality, that's all I care about.
If you don't know, I allow an old laptop computer that I was originally going to pitch into the trash run videos 24/7 on the site. There is a section under the "watch" category called ncrave. When you pick one that has a little arrow on the bottom left of the box, it can run on auto pilot for days before it runs out and the account acquires "bucks" each time it finishes a block of videos. There can be 70 to 120 blocks in a 24 hour period.
Swagbucks site and receive "bucks" when I print and then even more "bucks" when I use the coupon. To me that is a no brainer since I'm printing them anyway.
MyPoints is a sister site to Swagbucks. They are owned by the same company. They are similar to each other, but not the same. I do like Swagbucks much better because MyPoints requires more attention and the pay off isn't as great. Thing is, I can run both sites at the same time so there's that little bonus.
I can do the same thing with MyPoints but most of the time I have to at least pay half brained attention to the site to occasionally hit the "next page" button. The auto pilot rounds seem to not be available as often on this site. It can be a bit annoying because the points aren't worth as much when you cash out for your gift cards... but it's still free gift cards.
Swagbucks gig. Let the computer run, get your $25 gift card every month and the extra $100 that it will do over a year's time and you have free gift cards, about $400.00, to use for Christmas shopping just because of Swagbucks. If you have a second trash laptop, do both sites. I'm guessing that MyPoints could add up to an addition $300.00 if done on a consistent basis. I can think of a lot of things to do with $700.00 in free gift cards every year.
I do occasionally do the in store shopping rebates if it is for something that I'm going to purchase anyway but I don't sign up for stuff or do the surveys. Just my opinion but I think those are a waste of time and money but again, that's just my opinion.
No, you can't live off of running videos on those two websites, but the little things do add up and it can be done with minimal work and effort. It's kind of like extra money for lazy people. Like me. :)
Happy Money Monday! :)
